Dr. Julie Campbell, a Liscensed Clinical Psychologist, has been practicing in the Hampton Roads area for eight years. Dr. Campbell completed her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at West Virginia University of Parkersburg. After finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree, she went on to get her Master of Arts Degree in Psychology at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Dr. Campbell then worked in the mental health field for almost 2 years before going on to achieve her Doctor of Psychology degree at Regent University. She completed her internship at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Togus, ME, focusing on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, General Neuropsychology, Geropsychology, and completed an off site rotation emphasizing the psychological evaluation of children at the Edmund N. Ervin Pediatric Center of Maine. Dr. Campbell then completed her residency at Eden Family Institute where she obtained training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy. She also completed additional training in psychological assessment and therapy. Dr. Campbell is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Dr. Campbell works with individual and adults in the areas of Trauma Recovery, Women's Issues, Military Issues, Grief and Loss Issues, Depression, Anxiety and other Mood Disorders, and Christian Counseling. Dr. Campbell's main modes of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
